A friend suggested I make sure my songs live on beyond me and that seems like a good idea. My project now is to share my music here and there . I am recording my songs for posterity.
This is going to take a while as there are 80 to 100 songs of the songs written that I would like to record. I hope you find something you like. I have been quite fortunate to have artistic freedom to write what I like.
The following songs were recorded live in my home. I sometimes imagine how these songs might sound if recorded in good recording environment with a producer and engineer.

This is one of my newest songs about a woman finding her way back to oneness is the universe.
There are two versions of this song. This is the re-write I did in January 2021. It is a kinder gentler lyric about my marriage that ended in January 2021 after 25 years.
Shambhala Shambhala is a Sanskrit term meaning place of peace/tranquility/happiness. In other traditions it is the oldest tree in a magical forest possessing great wisdom that can be acquired. It also can be metaphor.
Starry Starry Night When I was younger I would pack off into the wilderness to sit, contemplate, and write music. This song was written in a place called Secret Canyon outside of Sedona. I would disappear into the wilderness and see no one. Alone with the night, the fire and the guitar.

Don't Let Your Love Fall Down This is the most recent song I have written. This is based on a woman I met once. I believe this woman is as the song describes, an Angel in her first life on earth. Her mission, to save a woman by becoming her daughter.
Sacred Dancer Sacred dance encompasses all movement that expresses or enhances spiritual experiences.
My Only Love This song seems like a love song from one to another. In the tradition of the Troubadours of the middle ages, it can also be thought of as a ode to an evolutionary spiral of the soul; a statement of an evolved intention.
Ode To Leo Leo is Leo Kottke a fantastic guitarist who moved into my neighborhood of Minneapolis in the late 60's. His playing has inspired so many guitarists over the years. And, he inspired me too.

Heartbreak Road Failed romance and heartbreak
So Glad You Were Born In my early 30's there was a particularly productive period. I can guess this was written based on my romantic expectations for some future relationship. And fortunately as life has progressed, more and more this song is about the hoped for relationship with each person I meet. My idealism knows no limits.

A song about a woman alone and hoping for love and romance.
Friday Night At Bar Cinco was a bar in Yelm Washington owned by an exceptional woman who loved having live music and making Bar Cinco a nice place to visit. This song is my anthem to Bar Cinco and that short lived band I played in for a couple of years.

The hidden meaning in this song refers to the moments in life when our best part comes forth. When we are our most compassionate and loving.

Hold On is emblematic of the experiences people have throughout life in relationships and the hope of all finding the answers to the questions they have.
